book review- Last night at Chateau Marmont by Lauren Lauren Weisberger

I love Lauren Weisberger's other books especially The Devil wears Prada, so i was praying that this book would be a hit with me like her others. And it was!!!!!
Loved the idea of being with a musician and supporting them and dealing with the changes that happen when they get signed and famous. the author made Brooke feel real and she put a great slant on the famous because you knows someone. it didn't look that appealing to me! Julian is also well written, stuck between a rock and a hard place, how to you keep living your dream without losing the love of your life???

Have you read this book?
Did you enjoy it?
have you read her other books?

I really recommend this book

now we are 5

#Card #craft

A nice simple card for my husband. i couldn't think what image to use and then i remembered this photo and i thought we are just as happy now as we are in the photo and that would look fab in black and white! after that it was very simple, the papers are from craftwork cards, the picture is printed on photo paper, layered on glittered and mirror card (all black), 3 little black gems, a glittery number 5, layered on the back of a craftwork card greeting with a promarkered prima flower behind that.

a card for Popsicle

#Card #craft

the perfect image for my dad! we love a family BBQ and always have 'birthday tea' which is bbq'd quarter pounders. i didn't this year i ordered jacket potatoes for a change. but anyway usually it's what we have a dad is the bbq king. in fact he is the george forman king coz that is what he uses. the image is not sounding so perfect now, so i'll talk about the ingredients!
the image is from lilli of the valley, the candi's and greeting are from craftwork cards. the brown dotty paper is daisy and dandelion and the orange one is my minds eye. the orange card is from bazil. oh and i used glossy accents on the sausage!

Book Review- The Spa Decameron

I wanted to like this book, but this is a book i could not finish :( i was laying in the bath and didn't care enough to turn another page. i read over 3/4 of the book and it was painfully slow, but i could do it any more!
I couldn't find a character i liked, in fact a lot of them were annoying and grating. in fact i'll just end the review here, as i have nothing left to say!
should i have kept going?
have you read this book?
what did you think?

a leftovers card

#Card #craft

This is a made up from the remains of a daisy and dandelion sticker sheet, i had used the 3 main images and had these and some dots left, this is what i have come up with, but no idea how to use the dots! the white, yellow and green card are all off cuts and the greeting is from daisy and dandelion.

#Card #craft

Here is the partner for the black and lilac card i have previously posted. they are for my twin cousins. The topper is a from docrafts tulip range, the pink card is from my stash, the ribbon is an off cut, the papers are from a set that came free with a magazine and the flowers are from wild orchid crafts. nice and simple :)

what a mistaka to maka

#Card #craft

This card is so not up to my usual standard :( everything went wrong :( i started with a lilli of the valley image, but picked up the wrong pen, and ruined the image, but i had already picked and sliced the paper and card. So i found this sticker that fitted the white card and matched  the papers. Thinking i'd rescued the card i then started sticking it all down, and the wonks came out, the ribbon joined in, and the card candi's refused to line up. The papers are all from a daisy and dandelion pad, the ribbon is from a hanger top thing.
